Back glass shatters into thousands of pieces. We replace it, reconnect the defroster and antenna, and clean every last bead out of your trunk and seats.

Rear windows are tempered glass, so when they break, they break completely. Replacing one is more than dropping in a new pane: the defroster grid, radio or GPS antenna, and on many cars the high-mount brake light all connect through the glass. We fit the correct part for your vehicle, bond it with urethane like a windshield, and reconnect and test every circuit before you leave.
Rear glass varies by body style, tint, wiper and antenna options. Your VIN lets us order the exact part.
We clear the remaining glass, remove the trim and old urethane, and vacuum the cabin and cargo area.
The new glass is set with urethane, the electrical tabs are reconnected, and the defroster is tested before you drive off.
On a hatchback or SUV the rear glass is part of the liftgate and often carries a wiper motor and the third brake light; on a pickup the back glass may be a fixed piece or a sliding unit. We handle all of them. If a slider’s latch or track is broken we can usually replace the whole assembly.
Because rear glass is urethane-bonded, plan on the same 30–60 minute safe-drive-away time as a windshield. Leave the retention tape on for a day and skip the car wash for 24 hours so the seal cures undisturbed.
*$0 deductible depends on your policy’s comprehensive glass coverage. We verify coverage with your insurer before work begins.
